Before you proceed, have you considered Joining Naija Corps Network?
Hi dear Stream II and I hope you are doing all right. The purpose of this article is to tell you about some of the mistakes made by potential members of Stream I that you should avoid.
I have already published an article on how to prevent the correction of errors during the registration process difficult, but some still continued making some mistakes.
Now that Stream I is in camp, I’d like to give you a homepage so you don’t make the same mistakes as some Stream I PCMs.
Biometrics became an important part of the registration of a national youth service organization some time ago, and validation became necessary a few batches ago.
During my own batch, in 2016, batch A, we only registered with a fingerprint and camp, there was no validation, so the biometric data in the case was not so serious.
This time, however, you will have to confirm it after normal registration at the camp, and when it does not respond, you will not be allowed to stay at the camp.
Some Stream I PCM made this mistake and have to leave camp to fix it in Abuja and still wait for the next batch.
If you are a Stream II and you are still registering, please be careful and never let anyone do a biometric for you. Do it yourself.
We published an article here that revealed the secret to making NYSC you the state of your choice, and while it was helpful to some, some ignored it.
During registration, you are asked to select the states you have visited, and most people make the mistake of choosing the states they have visited.
The NYSC system wants to send you to a place you’ve never been to before. That’s why it asked you to the states you’ve been to so they don’t mail you there.
For example, suppose you have been to Lagos, you have been to Ogun, Osun, Abuja, Enugu, Oyo, Ekit and during the registration you said that you have been to all these states.
The NYSC system avoids sending you to all of these facilities you’ve visited, and then the boom! They will send you far.
If you are still planning to register, fill in the spaces you have visited to fill in the spaces you do not want to go to. Choose those remote states. The system will send you closer because you have been to many distant states in the past.
Management introduced name additions on the NYSC dashboard during name correction some time ago. This means that you cannot add any name to the NYSC dashboard. You can just fix the errors or rearrange them.
It was publicly stated that if your name does not match the name on your income statement or school certificate, you should not bother coming to camp.
Dear Stream II, make sure you correct any name differences. Your name on the NYSC dashboard must be the same as the name on your school’s certificate.
Adjustment of Date Of Birth
Your date of birth is very important to the NYSC, and that’s why it’s very important for you to fix it while you still can.
If you know your birthday on the NYSC portal is incorrect, apply for a correction as soon as possible.
You can’t fix it at camp, so you have to act right now.
