Before you proceed, have you considered Joining Naija Corps Network?
As a corp member, you will need to redeploy for some best reasons known to you. NYSC redeployment is the process whereby corps members apply to be re-posted to another State for service because they don’t like the current State they are posted to.
If you are posted to a state you don’t like, you must first report there for the three-week orientation exercise. You don’t have a choice except you don’t want to serve with that batch or stream.
However, while you are in the orientation camp, NYSC will announce all corps members who wish to be redeployed to other states submit their application for relocation. This is your open window as all applications are considered as you can’t be held back against your wish. But it is important to note and have in mind that its result is not always rosy as you might not be posted to the state you want.
Seeking approval for redeployment at the NYSC orientation camp can be an overwhelming task especially for corps members who don’t have genuine reasons as to why they shouldn’t serve in the state they were posted to.
THREE BASIS ON WHICH YOU CAN APPLY FOR REDEPLOYMENT
Married female corps members are given the chance to redeploy to the state where their husband resides. This application is certainly approved if you can provide your marriage certificate and other required documents.
If you’re posted to the insurgent or terrorized state where Boko Haram, bandits, and Fulani herdsmen are ravaging, your application using insecurity as an excuse will be considered. You will be posted to any other state deemed to be peaceful but most likely may not be your desired state.
Some use this as an excuse, they will claim to have a medical condition that requires being close to family members for proper care. once they can provide a medical report from a doctor to back up the request for redeployment, the chances of the request being approved are high. You should note that this method doesn’t automatically means you get the State you want.
